Opportunities are always presented when one door closes and other one opens. With the dog days of summer behind us we can look forward to fall planting.
Right now is a great time to add plantings large and small to your yard as the weather cools and rain increases. The ground is still holding onto summer’s heat and will help perennials and trees develop a robust root structure. Many trees are well suited for fall planting and will send their roots out and establish well before the ground freezes. Though dormant for winter, come spring they will push out new leaves to enjoy the summer sun.
